Our Program
GuardianKin Doberman Breeding Program
GuardianKin Kennels is a premier Doberman breeder in Alabama, specializing in temperament-tested puppies with AKC registration. Euro and Euro/American hybrid lines are fully genetic health tested with regular cardio exams, Holter monitoring, and OFA hip/elbow evaluations — Z-list health coverage differs. Our breeding program focuses on five core pillars: form, genetic diversity, temperament, working aptitude, and health. We offer European and American Doberman lines, trained Dobermans, and lifetime breeder support.
Form
We breed for the larger end of the breed standard — 26–28" and 75–100 lbs. Functional form, never hypertypes. Built to move, built to work.
Diversity
We avoid inbreeding entirely. No line breeding, no parent-to-offspring crosses. We routinely introduce new bloodlines to strengthen each generation.
Temperament
Predictable and stable in all situations. We distinguish temperament from drive — a GuardianKin dog is calm, confident, and composed by design.
Working Aptitude
Handler-focused dogs with the willingness to defend. We pair with intention — matching working ability to the needs of the home.
Health
Genetic testing, regular cardio exams (echocardiograms), routine Holter monitoring, OFA hip and elbow evaluations, thyroid testing, and longitudinal tracking. Health is the foundation, not a footnote.

Early Development
Raised to Be
Ready
Our puppies are thoughtfully raised to build confidence, resilience, and a strong foundation for their future roles as companions or working dogs.
From an early age, they're gently introduced to a variety of experiences — different surfaces, inclines, loud noises, car rides, crate time, leashes, collars, other dogs, cats, and even livestock.
This careful exposure helps ensure a smoother transition into your home and sets the stage for a calm, well-adjusted Doberman.
