- Form is the overall shape and size of the dog. Ideally we breed for the larger end of the breed standard 26-28″ and weight 75-100 lbs. We breed for a functional form and avoid hypertypes like barrel chest or oversized heads.
- Diversity, to us, is avoiding inbreeding as much as possible. We do not practice line breeding. We do not cross parents to offspring or grand offspring. We routinely add new bloodlines to our program.
- Temperament should not be confused with working aptitude. Temperament is the dogs overall personality and the way they react to the world around them. We want dogs that are predictable and stable in all situations.
- Working Aptitude is the dogs willingness to work. There are different kinds of working for a Doberman and with different pairings we may have different goals for what we are looking for with their working aptitude. We want to produce handler focused dogs with the willingness to defend.
- Health should be the foundation of any Breeder and we are expanding our health testing with each litter. Genetic testing, grading of hips, elbows, eye testing, thyroid testing, echos, routine holter testing, and tracking our puppies as they age all assist us in improving the next generation.

Every Puppy Includes:
- Age appropriate vaccinations – We vaccinate against parvo, distemper, parainfluenza, adenovirus, and 4 forms of Lepto. We send every puppy home with 2 combo vaccinations at 8 weeks, if they are still here with us they will get a third at 12 weeks, and they receive the rabies vaccine at 16 weeks. We do not consider puppies fully vaccinated until they get that third vaccinations at 12 weeks.
- Microchip – All puppies are microchipped at 6 weeks old with Fi Nano chips. Microchipping is the #1 safest and easiest way to ensure your puppy returns home should they get out without you. Its also a key method of proving ownership should someone take your dog. Fi Nano is our chosen chip because they are smaller than standard chips, making it less painful for the puppy to have implanted and the registration of the chip is free for you. A microchip is a small chip the size of a grain of rice. It transmits a number wirelessly through the dogs skin when a reader is waved over it. This number is stored with the microchip company and is attached to the contact information you register with them. Most vets, shelters, and rescues check for these chips upon finding an animal.
- Prepaid AKC – All of our puppies are registered with the AKC and we prepay your puppies registration so it is free to you to register your puppy with the AKC.
- 30 Days Free Pet Health Insurance – All of our puppies go home with offers from our partner pet health insurance companies (Trupanion & AKC) for 30 days of free health coverage all you have to do is activate the offer.
- Cropping & Docking – Our puppies include cropping and docking except when specifically requested otherwise by the client. All of the cropping and docking done to our puppies is done by licensed veterinarians. We also have them remove dewclaws at the same time docking is done. We do not cut corners and try to do these delicate procedures ourselves. Our puppies receive a medium crop if done by our vet. We do not offer any other cropping style. This is the best overall working crop in our opinion granting the dog an elegant look and the owners less stress on posting. Typically these crops will stand with only 4-8 weeks of posting vs. the 16+ weeks of a long show crop. If you want a show crop or military crop on a GuardianKin puppy you will need to purchase your puppy uncropped and have your own vet do these crops.
- Lifetime Emergency Boarding – We provide our clients with free boarding at our facility if they suffer an emergency situation where boarding is required. We will care for the puppy/dog, without cost, for up to 14 days. Emergency situations covered by this include death or major illness of an immediate family member (parent, child, sibling, or grand-parent), loss of home or major home damage form a fire, hurricane, tornado, or other emergency event, loss of housing for any reason, civil or legal incidents including arrest.
- Lifetime Return – We do not allow rehoming of our dogs after placement but we do accept returns of our dogs at anytime for any reason for their entire life. We have a no questions asked return policy (though we will ask questions a customer is not required to answer them for us to accept our dog back).
- Incentive Payments – We offer payments for titling your dog and/or getting them altered.
Our Guarantees
- Congenital Guarantee – We warranty our puppies/dogs against congenital issues for 5 years from the date of their birth. This includes genetically related heart issues, spine issues, nerve issues, neurological issues, blood issues, and so on. Should your puppy/dog be diagnosed with a congenital issue within that 5 years we will provide a replacement puppy/dog.
- Longevity Guarantee – We are working hard to return our beloved breed to its original life span of 12-15 years. We are working hard to broaden the genetic diversity of our breed. We know that understanding COI and ALC, health testing, genetic diversity testing, and deep pedigree research will help us reach our goal. If your puppy/dog from us does not reach at least 10 years of age we will give you a 50% discount off your next puppy with us.
- Working Guarantee – If we match you with a dog or puppy for a specific job and they end up not able to do that job due to temperament or health issues we will replace the dog provided the dog washed out for temperament or health issues and not due to outside issues like poor training, being attacked by a person or dog, or so on.
