The the most basic explanation of the difference between full and limited AKC status is that Limited AKC status prevents the owners of a dog with this status from being able to register any offspring of their dog with the AKC regardless of the AKC registration status of the other parent dog. You cannot produce AKC puppies with a dog of limited status. You can also not enroll your dog in confirmation events with the AKC. The AKC only allows potential breeding stock to participate in confirmation events. Limited AKC status will not prevent you from entering your dog into any performance or companion events. Limited Status is the appropriate registration status for most persons.
The Purchase Process
- You browse our website for available puppies, chose one, chose your desired registration status, and come to this page.
- You fill out the form on this page, in its entirety, and submit it.
- We contact you and discuss if the puppy is right for your situation.
- You decide how you wish to get your puppy and we provide you a quote for any delivery cost.
- If you are coming to pickup the puppy within 72 hours no deposit is required.
- If you are requiring delivery the entire delivery free AND a deposit on your puppy is required before we will schedule delivery.
- If you cannot pickup within 72 hours or the puppy is not ready for pickup within 72 hours then you will need to place a deposit to hold the puppy.
- Once we determine a deposit is required you will be sent a deposit contract via DocuSign. If a deposit is not required you will be sent a puppy placement contract via DocuSign.
- Your contract will explain where and when to pickup your puppy. If you are getting your puppy delivered you will need to pay your full transportation fees AND puppy deposit BEFORE we will schedule you for delivery.
Here are some important things to keep in mind:
- If you want an uncropped puppy you MUST place a deposit. ALL puppies without deposits are cropped by 8 weeks old.
- If you want an undocked puppy you MUST be on our waiting list. All puppies are docked at 3 days old. If you want an undocked puppy you must go here. This is the wrong page for an undocked puppy.
- Puppies are able to be picked up 72 hours after their crops.
- Crops do not mean the ears stand automatically.
- You will need to post the ears 4-8 weeks after their crops for them to stand.
- Sometimes you will need to post longer.
- Your vet will need to remove stitches on the ears 10-14 days after they are cropped.
- We DO NOT ship puppies or dogs via air cargo.
- There is a $250 fee to meet you at the Atlanta Airport.
