We have from time to time Dobermans that are adoptable. Typically these are dogs from our program that:
- Are being retired from our breeding program.
- Returned.
- Washed out of one of our intense training programs.
From time to time, due to a lack of Doberman rescue space in this area we do also end up with Dobermans NOT from our program that also need placement.
ALL adoptable dogs are altered prior to going to their new homes. They will be up to date on shots, and chipped.
The adoption fee for ALL adoptable dogs is $400 for those under 4 and $300 for those over 4. Most dogs that we have for adoption are between 2-6 years old. We almost never have adoptable puppies. Please ready each available dogs info VERY carefully as it goes through very important requirements for the dog to be placed that we will NOT deviate from sch as no cats or fenced yards only.
To adopt from us you must meet certain requirements:
- You must be 18 or older.
- If you do not own your home we will need a letter from your landlord that allows you to have a Doberman in the rental.
- You must fill out a complete application.
- There will be a full interview.
- There will be a home check.
- A contract that forbids rehoming and requires a yearly update is required for the dog to be placed with you.
- If you live outside our area (more then 100 miles from Brantley AL) you will be required to come meet the dog prior to a homecheck being scheduled. You msut also bring any OTHER dogs that live in the household during that meeting.
- Homechecks for those outside the 100 mile radius will have a fee to cover the cost of traveling. The cost will depend on how far the adopter is from Brantley AL.
